For dogs who can't relax

Perfectly Calm and Collected

Do you avoid taking your dog to certain places like pubs and cafés because they just can't settle?

Or is your dog constantly bouncing off the walls at home?

I can help you teach your dog the important yet often overlooked skill of relaxation so that you can get a bit of peace and quiet!

Laura & Sammy

“Highly recommend, very approachable and knowledgeable and gave us lots of good training ideas that we will put into practice with our pup. We now have one tired (and very settled boy). Thank you!"

What does the package involve?

  • An initial 90-minute 1:1 training session at your home where we figure out what makes your dog tick and start working on the foundation skills they will need

  • Two further 60-minute 1:1  training sessions either at home or 'out and about' where I provide in-person coaching as you test your dog's new skills in real life

  • A written training plan with clear step-by-step instructions on how to do the exercises so you can easily remind yourself of what to do and track your progress

  • Easy Enrichment Guide packed full of ideas for activities your dog will love and that will promote calmer behaviour

  • Ongoing support via WhatsApp and email until 4 weeks after the final session in case you have any questions or want feedback

  • No one-size-fits-all solutions - I take a behaviour-driven approach to training, which means I help you figure out why your dog can't relax and settle so we can address the problem at the root

  • An in-depth, structured programme focused on making lasting improvements to your dog’s behaviour rather than unreliable ‘quick fixes’

  • Kind, ethical training methods focused on rewarding the behaviours we want rather than punishing the ones we don't

I also offer a one-off taster package to give you an idea of how I work and the benefits my training can bring for you and your dog!

This includes a 1-hour in-person session plus a follow-up email with some resources to get you started. It does not include the two follow-up sessions or WhatsApp and email support (these are only available when you upgrade to a full package).

Perfectly Calm and Collected will be perfect for you if...

  • You’d like to be able to take your dog to public places like pubs and cafés or even just to someone else’s house without feeling frustrated and embarrassed by their constant barking, fidgeting and general mischief

  • You’d like to be able to chill out at home with your dog rather than constantly having to manage their behaviour

  • You’ve tried all the usual methods but they’re just not working, and you need help from someone who understands your dog

  • You’re committed to teaching your dog the skills they need using kind, force-free methods

  • You want to work with a qualified professional who will offer you compassionate and non-judgmental support

It won't be a great fit for dogs who...

  • Are extremely anxious or fearful

  • Are showing signs of aggression towards people or other dogs

Frequently Asked Questions

If your question isn't answered here, please click the button below to send me a message.

What methods do you use?

I only use kind, ethical training methods that focus on rewarding the behaviours we want and using management to prevent those that we don't.

All of my training is free of force and intimidation. I firmly believe that training based on punishment not only causes dogs unnecessary stress, but also damages the relationship between you and your dog.

My dog is aggressive/extremely fearful/'reactive'. Can you help?

Unfortunately I'm not taking on dogs with severe behavioural issues at the moment (but keep your eyes peeled for updates!) – I would advise that you seek the help of a clinical animal behaviourist (CAB); visit the ABTC website to find a CAB near you.

My dog is a puppy/teenager/adult/rescue dog. Is this training suitable for them?

Absolutely! I cater for all ages, breeds and personalities (although I do have a soft spot for rescue dogs).

Where are you based?

I am based in Leamington Spa, but will travel up to 45 minutes for training sessions.

What happens if I’ve finished my package but I need more sessions?

Once you’ve come to the end of your package we’ll review your progress and you’ll have the option to book top-up sessions if necessary.

I’m not sure I want to commit to a full package - do you offer one-off sessions?

You can book a one-hour taster session for any of my packages (except Perfectly Imperfect Rescue Dogs) - just fill in the booking request form and select ‘Taster Session’ under ‘What service are you interested in?’. After the session you will also receive an email pointing you towards some useful resources.
